GLA & CO MERGER CONTROL WEBINAR WITH SAUDI & KUWAIT REGULATORS DRAWS OVER 300 REGISTRATIONS

GLA & Company successfully kicked off its 2024 webinar series with an insightful discussion on “Merger Control in the GCC – Practical Considerations.” This one-hour virtual event marked the beginning of a dynamic year for GLA & Co in facilitating knowledge-sharing and fostering meaningful conversations within the legal community.

With an impressive turnout of over 300 individuals registering for the event, the webinar provided a comprehensive exploration of navigating merger control filings in the GCC region. Notable participants included esteemed regulatory authorities from the Saudi Arabia General Authority for Competition (GAC) and the Kuwait Competition Protection Agency (CPA). Our esteemed panel of experts delved into essential topics, covering the intricacies of competition laws, filing procedures, and practical insights crucial for seamless merger control submissions.

The webinar was expertly moderated by Alex Saleh, GLA & Co’s Managing Partner, and Head of Anti-Trust and Competition, Asad Ahmad. The distinguished panel of speakers included Talal Alhogail, Mergers and Acquisitions Unit Head at the Saudi General Authority for Competition, and Shahad Al Saqabi, Head of M&A Department at the Kuwait Competition Protection Agency.
