Representing GLA & Co, Asad Ahmad, Head of Antitrust & Competition, joined the event as a distinguished speaker. He participated in a panel discussion that delved into the negotiation and drafting of international and regional commercial contracts. The discussion highlighted the impact of the new merger control regimes in the GCC on M&A transactions, emphasizing the practical considerations that parties must address, from the due diligence phase through to closing, considering the region’s evolving merger control regulations.

Saad Al Dosari, Founding partner of Al Doseri Law, was also a speaker discussing Bahrain’s rapidly changing dispute resolution landscape, the Kingdoms new “English-Friendly” commercial court, the evolution of arbitration as a method of dispute resolution and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards.
