May is a seasoned dispute resolution lawyer with extensive expertise in international arbitration, boasting over 10 years of experience handling complex commercial and investment disputes. She has successfully advised multinational corporations across various industries, including construction, oil and gas, telecommunications, media, cement and aluminium, and has appeared before leading arbitral institutions such as ICSID, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and CRCICA.
Her practice spans multiple jurisdictions, including Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Libya, where she has provided expert legal opinions and represented clients in cross-border litigation and arbitration proceedings. May has also appeared before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and has played a key role in high-profile arbitration matters involving state entities and global corporations.
May has expanded her expertise into the sports industry through her completion of the International Certificate in Sports Management (CIES/FIFA), whereas she gained experience in sports governance and dispute resolution mechanisms within the industry.
Prior to joining GLA & Co, Prior to joining GLA & Company, May was a Senior Associate at Youssef + Partners and an Associate at Zulficar & Partners, where she gained substantial experience in dispute resolution and international commercial and investment arbitration. She holds an LLB from Ain Shams University.
