Ammar Al-Humairi is a Senior Associate at GLA & Company and a member of the Iraqi Bar Association with over a decade of experience advising local and international clients across a wide range of practice areas under Iraqi law. His expertise includes corporate and commercial matters, transactions, real estate, intellectual property, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy, tax, insurance, and banking and finance.
Prior to joining GLA & Co, Ammar spent ten years at Al Tamimi & Company, where he advised multinational companies and regional businesses on complex Iraqi legal and regulatory matters.
Ammar has extensive experience in company incorporations and foreign branch establishments under Iraqi Companies Law, as well as tax structuring, compliance, and disputes. He regularly advises on oil and gas contracts, labor and immigration matters, and sector-specific regulatory compliance.
His practice also includes intellectual property registration and enforcement, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and licensing matters for international brands. In addition, he advises clients in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and insurance sectors on regulatory and compliance matters in Iraq.
