Kashif is a corporate and commercial lawyer with main focus on advising on various aspects of doing business in Kuwait including incorporation, acquisition and structuring of businesses. He has also been part of team handling infrastructure projects. Internationally, he has led the team considering investment in the mining sector in West Africa, been involved as an arbitrator in an arbitration involving Kuwaiti companies.  Generally, he has a good understanding of businesses across sectors.

Recent Experience

  • Conducted due diligence for China North Industries Corporation, one of China’s largest state-owned enterprises for a company it intends to invest in to fulfil its offset obligation. Also advised on a wide range of issues on doing business in Kuwait and assisted in drafting relevant documentation.
  • Conducted due diligence for acqusition of a Kuwait based shareholding company company in oil sector for acqusition by Abu Dhabi Investment House.
  • Advised Kuwait Oil Company in connection with the Upstream 2030 Full Scale Implementation Program. He was mainly involved with the part that related to conducting extensive due diligence on KUFPEC’s international assets.
  • Led team of lawyers for due diligence on assets of a Norwegian company in Kuwait as part of its international acquisition transaction.
  • Undertook due diligence for Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences on various Kuwaiti Investment companies prior to their appointment as portfolio managers.
  • Advising Novartis on variety of legal matters relating to its business operations in Kuwait.
  • Advised O M Pharma, Cook Medical, Fleming Pharmaceuticals in relation to their distributorship arrangements and employment related law matters in Kuwait.
  • Advised Siemens Electrical and Electronic Services KSC on wide ranging areas of Kuwait law and assisting with the day-to-day legal requirements.
